Muktha Elsa George known as Muktha or by her stage name Bhanu is one of the famous south Indian actress who acted in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu language films. She later acted in a Telugu film titled Photo opposite Geetanjali and Anjali.
She made her successful entry into Tamil film industry through the film Thaamirabharani opposite Vishal. She later starred in some Malayalam films like Nasrani and Goal.

Muktha was a serial telecast in the Kannada language on ETV Kannada. It was directed by T.N. Seetharam, who also acted in the serial. The director aimed to inspire civic awareness and action with stories depicting fighting for justice even against all kinds of bureaucratic and political opposition. Muktha, a word with roots in Sanskrit, means "reprieve". The program ended on September 15, 2006. The main theme of this serial was to increase awareness of the laws of the land among the people. In this serial Sudha Narayana Murthy also acted as a Judge.
